This year’s Street Art theme, Barkin’ Around Saugerties, was chosen to honor and support the Town of Saugerties Animal Shelter and recent groundbreaking of their new, and much needed shelter building. The new shelter is funded 100% by donations and grants, and fundraising efforts continue without pause. Soon, the homeless pets of Saugerties will have a new and safe place to land while they wait for their forever families. For more information visit saugertiesanimalshelter.com.
The culmination of the Street Art Event will be both a live and online auction held in mid-September. The proceeds from this auction will be distributed to the artists, the Chamber (to support community needs and events), the Town of Saugerties Animal Shelter, and a scholarship for a graduating Saugerties High School student. More info about the auction is coming soon.
